In Vineyard

100% Cabernet Franc grapes grown from our own vineyards in Pramaggiore. The vineyard is situated 25 – 40 metres above sea level with medium texture and clayey soil. Sylvoz is the growing method used.

In Cellar

Red vinification of Cabernet Franc grapes. Fermentation takes place on the skins in steel vats for 8-10 days at a controlled temperature of 24-26 °C, on carefully selected yeasts. After racking off the wine is held in steel vats until bottling.

In Tasting

The colour is ruby red with purple highlights. Intensely vinous scent with the herbaceous hint typical of the variety. The flavour is lean and vibrant with pleasant fruity hints on a velvety tannic structure.

Pairings

Ideal with flavourful first courses, grilled meat, venison and hard, highly flavoured cheese.

Cabernet FrancIGTAi GalliVeneto
Cabernet Francis one of the major black grape varieties worldwide. It is principally grown for blending with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in the Bordeaux style. Cabernet Franc is lighter than Cabernet Sauvignon, making a bright pale red wine that contributes finesse and lends a peppery perfume to blends with more robust grapes.
IGT – Indicazione geografica tipica is the third of four classifications of wine recognized by the government of Italy.
Ai Galli – The farm Azienda Agricola Ai Galli was built about the seventies and now is set in nearly 50 hectares of vineyards, which are all situated in the D.O.C. (controlled designation of origin) Lison-Pramaggiore production area. The production of a wide range of good wines has been more and more appreciated by wine connoisseurs. The awards won in the last years are not final achievements for the company, but a confirmation that the undertaken way is the right one.
Veneto – is a substantial and increasingly important wine region in the northeastern corner of Italy. Veneto is slightly smaller than Italy’s other main wine-producing regions – Piedmont, Tuscany, Lombardy, Puglia and Sicily – yet it generates more wine than any of them. Today more than 25 percent of the region’s wine is made and sold under DOC/DOCG titles.
